Public Profiles Are User-Controlled
Users can optionally create public profiles, which are uploaded to their mail agents for others to access.
• Users decide what information to include.
• No forced profiles—users remain private by default.
• Profile data is not stored by OpenEmail developers.
No Third-Party Services or Ads
OpenEmail apps do not integrate:
• Third-party analytics or tracking.
• Advertising networks.
• Data-sharing services.
No Centralized Servers or Backdoors
• OpenEmail operates on a decentralized, open protocol, there are no centralized servers storing all user data.
• All messages are end-to-end encrypted, even OpenEmail developers cannot access them.
• No backdoors, hidden data collection, or forced dependencies.
Full User Control
• Users can delete their public profiles and messages at any time.
• No external accounts required—users fully control their data.
• Users decide who they communicate with and what they share.
Changes to This Policy
Any changes to this policy will be communicated via app updates or release notes.
